The counties of Leonida
Leonida — the fictional Florida-inspired state of GTA 6 — is divided into counties like the real Florida. Five county names are established in official material; the August 2026 map leak adds Lummox County for the forested north, still unconfirmed. Each guide below shows the evidence behind the name.

Vice-Dale County
seat: Vice City
Vice-Dale County is the urban heart of Leonida — the densest, most-photographed corner of the state and the one nearly every GTA 6 trailer keeps returning to. Its seat is Vice City, Rockstar’s rebuilt Miami, and the county wraps the entire metro: the Art Deco beachfront, the downtown high-rises behind it, and the barrier islands and inland neighborhoods that feed the city. If a place in the marketing looked expensive, loud, or neon-lit, it almost certainly sits inside Vice-Dale.

Kelly County
seat: Port Gellhorn
Kelly County covers Leonida’s Gulf-coast panhandle, and its seat is Port Gellhorn — a faded resort-and-industry town standing in for the real Panama City area. This is the other coast: the Gulf side rather than the Atlantic glamour of Vice City, with a working port, motel strips, scrap lots, and the cheaper, rougher end of the map’s economy.

Mariana County
seat: Key Lento
Mariana County is Leonida’s southern and southwestern edge — the watery end of the state, where the mainland breaks up into islands, keys, and sawgrass. It’s the county of the Leonida Keys and the Grassrivers wetlands, the two most distinctive natural regions in the game.

Ambrosia County
seat: Ambrosia
Ambrosia County is Leonida’s interior — inland, agricultural, and built around Lake Leonida rather than the coast. Its seat, the town of Ambrosia, is a company town in the shadow of an enormous sugar refinery, with blue-collar streets and biker crews filling the space the industry left behind.

Leonard County
seat: Waning Sands
Leonard County sits on Leonida’s Atlantic coast just north of the Vice City metro — the suburban buffer between the big city and the rest of the state. Its confirmed anchor is Waning Sands, a coastal community that reads as the Aventura and Pembroke Pines stretch of greater Miami.

Lummox County
Lummox County is the name reported for Leonida’s far north in the alleged August 2026 full-map leak. Rockstar has officially revealed Mount Kalaga National Park, but it has not confirmed the county name or published an administrative map. Treat Lummox as leak-sourced until official material repeats it.

Counties vs. regions
The GTA 6 map has two overlapping ways to slice it. Counties are Leonida’s administrative divisions — the in-fiction equivalent of Miami-Dade or Monroe County — and they’re what appear on license plates and city infoboxes. Our six region guides are a broader, map-maker’s cut, grouping the state into the natural areas Rockstar has themed and named (Vice City, the Keys, Grassrivers, and so on).
